About Me

Hello & Welcome!

My name is Chloe, also known as The Blonde Baker. You may know me for my delicious specialty cupcakes & big bakery style cookies, but let me tell you a little bit of how this all came to be.

I am a completely self-taught baker located in Lockport, Illinois. From my bakery style cookies to my smooth & creamy delicious buttercream, everything I create is from scratch.

Some of my earliest memories are in the kitchen. I vividly remember begging my babysitters to let me bake cookies, and leaving them with piles of dishes to do before my parents got home.

Besides causing complete havoc in the kitchen for my poor babysitters to clean, I always enjoyed helping my mom in the kitchen, and of course baking cookies with my grandma. Baking is something that has always come natural to me, and I’ve been serving up all the goodies since I was a youngin.

The only class I didn’t totally dread going to when I was in high school was Home Economics. The first thing we learned to bake was oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Whatever we learned to bake in class that day, I would go home and bake it again for my family - even Baked Alaska! I was really proud of what I created, and I always had fun doing it.

I remember thinking, “Having fun baking cookies all day, AND getting paid to do it? Say LESS”.

In addition to my love of baking, I have a passion for helping and taking care of others. I attended a local college where I received my degree in Respiratory Therapy. Although I am no longer a practicing Respiratory Therapist, I use much of what I learned in my career as one in what I do now. I am EXTREMELY disciplined, detail-oriented, and organized which translates seamlessly when running my own small business. I have my experience as a Respiratory Therapist to thank for that, and I am still serving others - just in different ways!

The deciding factor of baking full time happened when I had the honor to make a cake for my husband’s grandparents 60th wedding anniversary party. There were some guests that had no idea that I made the cake. When I heard things like “Which bakery made the cake?” and “CHLOE?! I thought the cake came from a bakery! We had no clue you could do that!” After I experienced this moment, I knew I had to follow my dream.

The Blonde Baker has been a work in progress since the early ages of my life, and I’ve been perfecting my craft ever since. I am now 30 years old living out my passion of getting my sweet treats into the homes of my community and beyond.

Thank you x100 for learning more about me, and most importantly supporting my small business. Every order leaves an imprint on my heart, and I am forever grateful to serve my customers with a smile and fulfill your orders to perfection.
